Summer something
This bit just came to me one night... If I was good at romance novels, I would include this.
His skin bore the signs. The sun had kissed him brown and it was the most beautiful color she had seen. It spoke of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. It sung of long summer days with the wind whistling through the willow branches and dancing across the water. She could she the scene in her mind's eye and it pleased her.
A slight touch of that skin sent a shock of heat through her fingers. They had reached for the same paper on the table. She wanted her hand to linger longer, but it was a risk she could not take. No one – not even he – could know her heart's desire. She quickly looked up into his eyes and smiled; her hand retreated back to her lap.
"Sorry" quietly escaped her lips as a soft pink blush stole across her cheeks. She could not reveal how she longed to have those strong arms wrapped tightly around her waist. Only in her dreams could she revel in her forbidden thoughts.
